Cybertary would like to welcome our newest franchisee - Joyce Kane!!
![]() “The concept of Cybertary resonated very strongly with me. I was one of those managers who was forced to lay-off administrative staff and subsequently perform their work. Business support services are the cogs in the wheels of all businesses – be they single proprietorships or large corporations. I viewed the Cybertary model as serving an untapped market that could use these services throughout various economic situations. In a down economy, Cybertary can be your business support staff; in a boom, we can supplement your staff with peak work, specialized services or projects that your existing staff can never seem to get around to doing. The ability to leverage a full portfolio of services through the network, even if we do not have that skill set on our team, sets Cybertary apart from an independent virtual assistant.” Meet Joyce Kane: Joyce has 30 years of professional business experience, primarily in the IT and Telecommunications fields. She began her professional career as a sales representative and has a special affinity for those who are in the trenches every day, doing the blocking and tackling that is so critical for success in B2B sales. Understanding her clients’ wants and needs and being able to deliver creative solutions made her a successful account representative in both the transportation and telecommunications arenas. Joyce was given the opportunity to join one of her client’s team and thus, transitioned to the other side of the desk. She became the client for Telecommunications systems and services for USAirways during their significant growth period. She marshaled her teams through several large mergers, working with counterparts at PSA and Piedmont Airlines to effectively integrate the telecommunications environments. She was also lead telecomm representative on the British Airways and Qantas business alliance, fostering cooperative integrations with these carriers. Joyce and her team successfully implemented telecommunications systems and services associated with the airline’s expansion to Europe and the Caribbean. In the mid-1990’s, with the IT business climate shifting to outsourced services, Joyce led the transition of USAirways staff and services to Bell Atlantic Network Integration as part of an outsourced arrangement. Her expertise in the airline industry and knowledge of her client were strong contributing factors in successful Service Delivery under the outsourcing model. Joyce eventually evolved from Service Delivery, which had leveraged her project planning and implementation expertise, to a Business Development role, leading teams that developed creative solutions for transitioning the IT environments to a 3rd party. Here, her knowledge of technology infrastructure, coupled with relationship management skills, strong human resource management and fundamental business expertise, led to a successful partnering with her business development peers. Joyce was tapped by a large financial services firm to fill a newly created position in the IT infrastructure area. She successfully integrated disparate teams under a cohesive management structure and fostered teamwork across various technology disciplines. Her ability to mentor technical staff members and build consensus on achieving common goals led to improvements on project delivery and employee and customer satisfaction. Joyce holds an undergraduate degree in Psychology from St. Joseph’s University in Philadelphia and an MBA from the University of Pittsburgh. She and her husband David are the over indulgent parents of two very rambunctious Golden Retrievers. Joyce is an active volunteer, contributing 100’s of hours per year to such causes as the Humane Society, Phipps Conservatory and Botanical Gardens, The Botanic Garden of WPA, The Women’s Center and Shelter, American Heart Association and the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure. In the process of transitioning from a corporate career, Joyce has been able to fulfill several aspirations on her bucket list, although many still remain to be accomplished. |
